While strolling along the new River Walk in Tampa this morning just as the morning rush hour was getting under way, I noticed this character shouting “Allah be praised” and “Death to all infidels” and suddenly he tripped and fell into the water near the Kennedy Bridge over the Hillsborough River. With all the traffic I doubt many, if anyone besides myself, could hear him shouting!
He was struggling to stay afloat because of all the explosives he was carrying in his camouflage vest. If he didn’t get help he would surely drown. Being a responsible senior citizen with years of military and police training, and abiding by the law of the land that requires you to help those in distress, I informed the HCSO, the Coastguard, the Tampa Police Department, and even Tampa Fire/Rescue of the situation.
It is now 4 p.m. and the evening rush hour is beginning to move through the area. Here I sit waiting, the terrorist has drowned, and none of the authorities have yet responded.
I’m starting to think I wasted four stamps.
